How often does your young toddler bang their head?

Mine seems to do it at least once a week sometimes several, should be concerned?

It's small knocks rather like misjudging height of a table if trying to get underneath etc or too excited/ moving too fast and bangs into something, really small accidental sort of stuff. They're 18 months.

Averages about every two days I think. For exactly the same reasons. Par for the course- minor knocks will not do harm.

Depends on the nature of the toddler, if they have siblings, if they attend childcare, etc. Friends have two boys - 6 and almost 3, and the younger one gets a lot of knocks because he's the never sits still sort of toddler, and when playing with his older brother they inevitably bump into each other or furniture or whatever when over excited. You can encourage them to be safe, calm it down when it's getting rowdy, step in and stop it before they get properly dangerous. But we're talking even both playing together inside a large box or under a duvet tent or whatever, not play fighting, they always seem to end up bumping heads or the little one knocks against a wall or bumps into a door frame when he's playing chase. I'd say multiple times a day there's a knock of some sort!

Multiple times a day and hard ones - like I can hear the thud in the next room. He’s 2 but probably autistic (if thats relevant). I do find being more aware of hunger, tired, sensory overstimulation etc useful to predict times he will be “nuts” (highly technical terms here!) and use desensitising activities to calm things down.

Btw I’m convinced he will get dementia or some sort of neurological condition at an early age (50s or 60s possibly?) due to the extent of his head injuries - which started before he was mobile because he could trash and arch into walls and doorways when being held. I’m also anxiety prone and can do nothing about it so try not to dwell on it.

Oh my god, all the time! Multiple times a week, sometimes a day. He's 2 and clearly has a thick skull. Honestly as long as they're OK in themselves afterwards I would try not to worry about it too much. It's par for the course really, we were probably the same as kids!

My 11month old bangs her head in some way EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
She does not sit still for more than a nano second and literally will not focus on one thing at a time.
In the last few days she has wacked her chin on the table when sitting down because she was looking at the cat. Smacked her head on the table when leaping up to crawl off because she found some paper she knows she isnt allowed.
Slammed the cupboard on her head because she was too busy looking at the other cat.
And yesterday i got her out of her cot and she has a bruise between her eyes. Not a clue how thats happened. Shes not bothered by it.

To be fair, I was the same as a child. My school even questioned my mum about my bruises in case I was being abused. Apparently they were chatting while watching me hanging out of a tree from the window.
School figured I was one of 'those' children.
I have no chance with DD.
Im not worried unless she is hurt or gets concussion (which i dont think will be far off the way she is going).

Multiple times a day. He's 12 months old and just started walking 2 weeks ago, he's still very unsteady but very enthusiastic.
