How can I get drs to listen about getting oral medication? I picked up ringworm in lockdown (I know all times to somehow pick it up) I had it on my scalp and a bit on body anyway with cream and shampoo it went away.. months later it came back and repeat every couple of months. Now I have a 10 month old and I’ve gave it him twice!!! I think he’s starting to loose some hair on bottom of his head. I’m like a woman possessed cleaning the home every night, I’m constantly washing my own towels, his separate. Constantly boil washing bedding every night and it’s becoming too much. Every time I brush my hair I leave my hairbrush in boiled bleach water!! I’m obviously not getting rid of the scalp infection properly I’m must be just keeping it at bay but now I have a baby it’s constantly making me in tears the thought of him loosing hair! I even had a thought of selling house hahaha. Is it worth paying to see a dermatologist at this point?

I've had a recurring infection on my cheek for a long time. Fortunately I can feel it appearing again before anything visual can be seen.

The following have all helped but they don't get rid completely and it appears again months later:
Sudocrem, brulidine, coconut oil, VERY diluted tea tree in coconut oil, tea tree soap, and DR gave me dermol when I was pregnant. He also reassured me it wouldn't harm my baby if I accidentally shared it.
And he also said putting coconut oil on my face every day would probably keep it at bay, which I would do if I was more organised.

I've never gone as far as asking for oral medication though so can't comment on that.

I’m exactly the same I can feel it just as it starts! I went again today about it and she said it doesn’t look typical of ringworm and I said yeah because I start treatment before it even gets to that point! I’ve read about tea tree oil I will try that. They referred me to dermatology but said that’s months..

I would definitely go to a dermatologist. I got diagnosed with ringworm, after almost a year the treatment was having no effect. GP said this can happen as it’s stubborn. In the end it turned out to be exzema and I was on the wrong cream the whole time.
