Formula for baby prone to constipation?

My baby is fully formula fed (12 weeks) and struggles pooing. She can be straining for over 24 hours and when it does come it’s very thick. She was originally on Cow and Gate hungry baby but I found the formula didn’t dissolve well and it made her quite sick. She occasionally struggled to poo but not very often. We switched to Kendamil after good reviews but since been on this the struggle to poo has stated but the sick has pretty much stopped. She has been on Kendamil now for over 2 weeks now and it’s gotten worse of anything.
I’m thinking about switching her to the cow and gate comfort or constipation milk, I just wondered if anyone had experience with this or other recommendations? I’ve also heard good things about hipp organic and SMA but I don’t want to keep going through milks and wasting money on tubs of formula I won’t use.

Thanks :)

I’ve had three babies, All formula fed. First I used cow and gate, she was a MASSIVELY sicky baby, when she was 9 she was diagnosed with a lactose allergy though so could be this

baby 2 I stuck with cow and gate; she was constipated sometimes but not always, and wasn’t pukey

baby 3 I used hipp organic and he has been the most regular in terms of bowel and sickness. He was really flatulent until about 3-4 months but I found hipp absolutely great. I also used the mam bottles to ward off any Colic. Something worked!

I would definitely not bother with the hungry baby milk, just feed more often. It is thickened and will definitely be clogging her up inside! Get some prune purée into her, or a little bit of orange juice diluted with boiled water

We use Hipp formula and I make one of her bottles per day more watery. It solved her problems almost immediately. Been doing it from about six weeks old, she's coming up six months and still in the 97th percentile. You just have to make sure the extra water isn't interfering with the calorie intake x

Why was she on hungry baby milk? They are not advised. Hungry baby and comfort milks are thicker and can cause constipation.
