Lightweight parent-facing buggy. Buy new or 2nd hand?

Hi ladies,

Please help me decide. I did a bit of research for a lightweight parent facing buggy and have narrowed it down to either a Joie mirus new (around £150) or a Bugaboo Bee 2nd hand ( same-ish)

I'm not opposed to buying 2nd hand but I want what's best for my DD. Not sure how sturdy the bugaboo is?

Any advice which would be better?

TIA!

I'd go for the Bugaboo because they hold their value. I bought one second hand and sold it on for nearly as much. You'll end up wanting to swap it for something different eventually.

Bugaboos last because all the parts can be replaced and upgraded. I bought bits off eBay including a different coloured hood.

How many years did you use it for and how old was it when you got it?

At the moment, I have a joie chrome and hate it as it's so bulky and heavy! It's less than 1 year old (bought new) and i don't see it lasting for more than another year, maybe 2...

We've got a Bugaboo Bee which we inherited off some friends. I hate it. It's so heavy and cumbersome, difficult to collapse, and my 11 month old seems to fill the seat and looks like she might fall out at any moment.

A friend has a Kiddicraft one and it looks really good every time I've seen her with it. We're thinking about getting rid of the Bugaboo, and potentially buying a microlite one. I think they are actually owned by Silvercross, but if the buggy is a patch as well designed as our microlite travel cot it will be worth the money.
