just try her without a nappy..

With ds I had to decide he was ready but dd1 decided herself and we took all nappies away a month ago. Of a night she now has her bedtime milk 1hr before bed so she can go to loo. Then we just put her into bed and had spare bedding/pjs ready for minimum changing fuss. I also left a potty in the corner of her room as she is too small to get on and off loo alone. So far a month in and she has had no night time wetting she has woken up a few times and used potty. DS had a couple of accidents but then he had gotten used to the nappy being there for him and had admitted he purposely wet in it.

Hi Fransmom. Think there is a potty training topic list somewhere, but it doesn't matter where you post (by the way i posted yesterday in other subjects and despite bumping the thread loads of times still no-one has replied, annoying sometimes isn't it )

Anyway, I think as your dd is nearing 3 then let her have a go without a nappy at night. It might just be that she is completely ready to tackle of it in one hit, and she did tell you that she was ready.

I did my dc when they were just past their second birthdays, but there was no way they were ready to go without a nappy at night at that stage. My ds has only really been sorted at night for the past year or so and he will be 5 in April.

Make sure your dd has easy access to potty in her bedroom or has a light if she prefers to go to the bathroom and just see what happens. Also make sure you have a good supply of mattress protectors and clean sheets just in case.

I also found with mine that when trying to get them dry at night, especially with my ds, to watch the fluid intake in the late afternoon and early evening before they go to bed.

Wishing you all the best and hope it goes well.
