Playing music to baby

My dd (first child) is 3 months. Before I had her when I was home alone I'd often have music on in the background. I've started putting some on when we're at home and after i've done it I've worried if it'll be too much for her and if it will overstimulate her. She hasn't had any screen time and I rarely watch the tv so she hasn't heard noise off that. I listened to a Motown CD the other day, an old Beyonce CD on another day and Adele's new album yesterday. I haven't had them on very loud but she has been awake when they were playing. I was just wondering if this is ok.

At a similar age, my DC2 was going to a toddler music group twice a week where he'd be in my arms whilst DC1 was on or against my knee with a drum.

Also, remember how you react to things will impact massively on your DC. If there's an unexpected loud noise - a fire alarm, a motorbike or an emergency vehicle - then smile, look relaxed and give reassurance/comfort whilst explaining what happened. For example, "Gosh. What loud noise that motorbike made. It really startled me and made me jump/my heart race. It's gone now so it will be quieter again."

Also, even if you're mainly at home with your baby, don't you have the TV on sometimes? Or the radio? When do you hoover? Do you use a hairdryer? Do you talk and sing nursery rhymes to your baby?
