10 week old baby congested after night feeds

Hi,
I would appreciate some advice as I'm worrying and diagnosing all sorts!
Basically, my almost 10 week old baby has had on/off congestion on a night more or less since birth. It is always after feeding - if I put her down on her back she is fine for about 5 minutes then starts making these awful raspy/throaty noises and sometimes sounds like she's struggling to breathe. I mentioned it to the HV, who has not been very helpful all the way along, and she just said to wind her. At the GP check up, they said her chest was fine and make sure to wind her as it could be a bit of reflux. It had started to get better the last couple of weeks but the last two nights she has woken every hour with it.
From googling, I've also tried keeping her upright after feeds which generally helps, I've bought some Calpol saline solution (although think that's more for snotty noses and don't know if it will help) and ordered one of those wedge things to raise the end of her cot.
I was wondering if it sounds like silent reflux to anyone or something else? She is only sick a bit every few days and not much. She has hiccups every day but doesn't seem in pain or arch her back or anything. she prefers being held upright over the shoulder.
Please throw any suggestions at me as it's starting to really concern me now and is affecting her sleep and I can't get a GP appt until next week.
Thanks in advance,
Tired first time mum!

Hi! I have 2DD and both of them were like this. DD2 is 6 months old now and after reading your post it’s only just occurred to me that she’s stopped sounding so congested at night. I don’t know if they’re any medical reasons for it just it’s happened with mine and they’re both fine - maybe just cos their noses are so small so any little bogeys are a bother, no clue really tho 🤷🏼‍♀️. I wouldn’t worry as long baby is breathing ok 😊

They often get a bit of milk stuck etc as they have such tiny nostrils.

My nearly 5 month old had silent reflux (pretty much outgrown it now) and would scream the house down about an hour after a feed. I noticed a lot of re swallowing and he often excessively cleared his throat
The back arching was constant.

i think unless other symptoms progress it is probably just a bit of milk getting stuck. They are so tiny and still getting used to swallowing etc.

Still go to the GP appointment though. Always worth checking it out because all babies are different. If baby can breathe ok and doesn't seem in pain try not to worry too much in the meantime.

I'm a first time mum and honestly worry about everything! I've found in my short experience a lot of these things with babies resolve with time.

Babies are scary.

This sounds a lot like my DS2, currently 11 weeks. I like to think of him as an 'upright baby'. Doctor said sent reflux, gave us gaviscon, which didn't really help. Had more success after a couple of sessions with the osteopath, still prefers my shoulder to anywhere else though.
He used to sound very snuffly at night and I discovered cutting wheat out of my diet (he's EBF) greatly reduced this. Also helped reduce his baby achne. Any time it sneaks into my diet I see an extra spot on his face next morning.

*silent reflux

Sounds like reflux to me too. You might want to consider if an allergy might be the cause. Dairy is most common.
