TV under 2

I currently have a 10 week old LG. Needless to say, i love her to bits.
I was reading online about a mum whose DH is always on his phone or watching TV with the baby (not great for social/behavioural development from dad obviously) but the comments were vehemently anti-tv and how it isn't recommended <2. I have to admit I sometimes plonk LO in front of TV for a bit of cbeebies to let me go for a shower and brush my teeth in the morning. i know she doesn't understand it, but she loves the light from the TV and it totally mesmerises her long enough for me to take care of myself for 10 mins.
am i wrong to be doing this?

Guessing people will come on here and say it's wrong but my little bubs is 12 weeks and I use the tv for her wake windows for short periods. In her bouncy chair- we've started with Disney plus

It's not for long periods

I also do tummy time, reading, mat time but I think it's hard this age as until they are sitting up and older when they can enjoy playing with toys it's so hard !

My one gets frustrated I think - she loves being carried around but I can't do that all day
My back kills!!

It's not the worst thing In the world. But as they get older they can get a bit addicted and become quite antisocial with TV... not saying hello, ignoring etc. Tantrums when it's turned off etc. So I wouldn't be eager to get them into it so young as you may have a challenge getting them unhooked in a year and a half or so! A little one of ten week can sit in a bouncer and watch you have a shower etc and they'll feel secure because their mum is in sight. Even if they cry, it won't do them any harm,

true, although a big reason is to have literally 10 mins to myself, alone, during the day. i do all the other stuff tummy time etc, she's on me the vast majority of the day too. once i'm done washing, dressing the tv is off and we play.

I used to do exactly that at that age, in the bouncer in front of telly while I showered etc. I used to put ballets I'd recorded on lol. My bathroom is not the size/shape to bring a bouncer in too. Anyway far from being addicted at 12 months my baby has absolutely no interest in TV and won't even really look if one is switched on in the room. So I wouldn't worry about 10 minutes a day tbh.
