How to keep baby warm

We have just moved our 10 month old in to his own room. He is still getting up 6 times a night but just for his dummy. He seems to be cold, is there any way of heating his room up without having the heating on 24/7

Check the temp in his room. Ideally between 16-20 degrees is fine. Rather than heat the room, keep him warm.
what tog sleeping bag are you using. Or how many blankets?

i put the heating on for an hour before bed time and set the timer for around 6am. Takes the chill off.

Yes gran a gro egg or similar off vinted or marketplace and then when you know the temp of the room you can find those charts that tell you what tog sleeping bag and whether to use short sleeve vest underneath, long sleeve vest, pj's and a vest etc. Generally has to be a bit cooler than you think but the sleeping bags are great as they cant kick them off and get cold.

Does he sleep in a sleep sack? I have found with both my children that they've needed heavier sleep sacks than the 'sleepsack chart' showed. For example, my lo is in a long sleeve sleepsuit (nothing underneath) and a 2.5 tog sleeveless sleepsack and her room temp is about 22 degrees (according to the baby monitor). When it drops to around 19/20 degrees, I put her in a 3.5 tog sleepsack. Now according to the chart, she should be in the light 1 tog sleep sacks but when I've followed that, she's woken frequently and felt cold (felt her chest and back) and since I've started doing my own thing and putting her in heavier togs she's slept through all night. I had the exact same with my first too. If you think coldness is a factor perhaps try and heavier tog sleepsack. As for the dummy, I've heard of people putting several in the cot so that the chances of their baby finding one if it falls out increases! Maybe give that a try? Good luck!

Was he getting up before you moved him? Was it warmer in your room? I would get a room thermometer or borrow one, to check the temperature in his room and yours to see what he is used to.

You can buy individual heaters to plug in his room, or some radiators have the option to turn individual radiators up and down. Otherwise a 3.5 tog sleep sack if he is in a lighter one?

He sleeps in a long sleeved vest, a baby grow and then a 2.5 tog sleep bag. He was sleeping through the night before moving him in to his own room. We have the heating on a timer to come on at 6am for an hour every morning.
