DS has always been such a good eater he would wolf down all veg and fruit, eat whAtever I put in front of him.
since he hit 2.5 he’s become much fussier. Will only each broccoli, sweetcorn and carrots no other veg.
fussy about meat
wont eat eggs
wont eat salad
won’t eat ham

loves salmon, fish fingers (obviously I try not to give these too often), will eat some curry, will eat mince

hes been allowed biscuits and things but I try not to give them too much - no sweets, pudding is usually custard and fruit or yogurt and fruit, occasionally a homemade healthy ish cake

if he had his way he would be eating fishfingers and biscuits constantly

is this just a phase?

im struggling for meals now which I never did before!

It’s totally normal. What he’s eating sounds pretty healthy anyway. Trick is to try to be nonchalant about it all so they don’t pick up on any stress although that can be easier said than done.

Thanks I’m probably overreacting tbh but I feel like his diet is getting very “junky” but I also don’t want to demonise any food groups

Yes it's a phase; unfortunately it apparently lasts 10-15 years!

Go with the flow and try not to make it into an issue or it will turn into a battle. Let him enjoy what he enjoys and appreciate that we have our favourites.

I was also going to say it’s a phase that lasts till around 16 Grin

Same here.
I was so proud that my ds would eat anything put down in front of him, he's just turned 22 months and now survives on toast, pasta, bolognese (about the only meal I can get him to eat veggies with because they're disguised) and homemade pizza. I'm not stressing anymore, as long as he is getting some variety of fruit and veg each day I'm happy
