Pram dropped down a step hard

Hi everyone
i have a 4.5 month old baby and today when I was going down the steps (there are 6 steps on the front porch), the pram dropped down one of the steps really hard (the steps are a bit high). The baby looked scared but didn’t cry. I have a pram with big wheels at the back and small wheels at the front
I’m worried that I could have caused brain damage?? :(

thank you

Baby will be absolutely fine, don't worry.

You really have nothing to worry about. You will not have caused brain damage.
I hate to tell you this but your baby will soon start banging their head pretty hard on a regular basis when they start moving around so you may need to take a breath and be rational otherwise you will be an anxious mess 😁

If you are genuinely concerned a quick call to the HV team or GP should put your mind at ease.
I'd say baby will be absolutely fine, one of the first things I did with my tiny newborn was whack her head off the side of the doorframe. I felt sick! She was fine.
Look out for vomiting, unusual sleepiness or any other big changes in behaviour or posture.

The previous poster is right.

Soon she'll be toppling over, when sitting, faceplanting when crawling, falling over when cruising and learning to walk, banging her head on tables, corners (you cant make everything round) etc. Some babies repeatedly whack their own head against their cot in their sleep!

Babies are pretty resilient, because they need to be. A pram going down a step hard might take her surprise, but its not going to hurt her, let alone cause brain damage.
