8 week sleep regression?!

Is there such a thing? I’m trying to make sense of what’s happening to my good little sleeper! She’s been fussy during the day but pretty good at night, usually falling asleep at 9, then waking up At midnight, 3 am and then 6-7 am. The last week though my DD has been waking up every 1-1.5 hours and with a scream! I attributed it initially to being ill ( we all got covid) but she’s back to normal now and this new behavior continues!
Also, in the past I’ve always managed to calm her down by offering the boob and she’s been totally fine with it throughout the night but this past week it doesn’t have its usual magic! And when upset she outright refuses it.

has this happened to anyone? It’s so abrupt and different from her pattern the past 8 weeks that I’m thinking it must be developmental!

I notice no one had any wisdom for you but my 8 week old is back to hourly wake ups from 3/4 am and I’m so tired! Did things improve?

Sounds like gas/ colic ( not a medical expert) but waking up screaming and not wanting the boob… either DC is cold or full of gas.

I use Infacol and the I love you massage ( google it 🥰) for gas in my 4 month old

Honestly it's frustrating and awful to deal with but there's no rhyme or reason to baby sleep for at least the first six months. You just have to go with the unpredictability.

It could be colic/reflux/silent reflux. We used baby gaviscon which helped tremendously, but did come with constipation. It could also just be a baby thing where they're not into sleep at the moment! I'd maybe take her to the GP to rule out anything medical (mine had ear infections and had no idea until I'd taken her to the GP after a week or so!).
