Hi,
I have been invited to get my twin 2 1/2 year old girls the flu vaccination and was wondering if anyone can see any reason why I wouldn’t? It will either be a nasal spray or an injection. Looking for some advice please.

It will be nasal on the NHS.

It's a nasal spray. Takes longer giving their name in at the GP reception desk that it does to do the spray in my experience.

I've had flu, it was horrendous, I'd rather avoid my kids having it.

It’s nasal, we had it last weekend.

Reasons not to are just adverse events and increasing your risk of those by 100%. You just have to weigh that up with the chance she's going to die from flu. Infection from flu is not enjoyable but does provide future immunity to all strains of flue, and this is how our immune system naturally learns.
Every drug comes with risks. So since you asked for reasons not to that would be a reason not to, but it's not widely considered a good idea to not have the flu vaccine.

Either weigh up the risk yourself or just take NHS advice and have all vaccines when advised.
