How fast do spots come on with chicken pox??

I am trying to figure out if my little one has it. This is the third time I have wondered if she had it. Obviously, the first two times she did not have it. She has been exposed in the past and did not get it, when her best friend got it and she played with her at nursery. Then her cousins had it, came over for a two hour play date, hugged her and played with her....she still did not catch it. Now, someone in her school has it (but not in her class). She has 2 spots on her face, one on her arm and two spots elsewhere....however, no more additional spots 24 hours later, no fever, playing, eating and basically just normal. The two other times I thought she had it, once she was a baby and had a different type of virus that brought on a rash that lasted a couple days, was not it. The second time, it was again some spots...maybe like 2 or 3. But hard to tell if its bug bite or what. I have two older kids who had chicken pox before and my memory, the spots increased quickly....like 3 to 6 to 10 etc. I sent her into school, but I cannot help but wonder if I should be keeping her home just in case. However, I also have health anxiety, and cannot keep her home every time I see a spot appear. I am not worried if she has it, more that I am worried if she has it if I send her into nursery spreading it. But I also do not want to just keep her home every time I wonder if she has it or not. Sorry, for my rambles.

Do the spots always increase at a fast pace? Or can you just have a few? Do you just send them in until you know for sure they have it?

Ds had 2 spots which I didn't think anything of for 3 days before the rest coming out. Dd had hundreds within hours. I think it's less likely to be slow like ds though.

You've sent her in so there's no point worrying about it, see how things are tonight and just wait and see. It's hard because you want to know but you simply can't always know so you've got to take your best shot and accept that.

I think it varies.
Ours missed it twice after outbreaks in her room at nursery, then the third time her spots appeared a week after we received the notice from nursery. The day before the spots appeared she was sick and not eating and had a temp.
She went to bed on the Sunday night with one spot on the back of her neck, thought it was a bite. Woke up with a few more, so then thought it must be CP then over the course of that day they just kept appearing, she was absolutely covered by the end of the day!
I do think it varies child to child though!
Her baby sister who she was obviously home playing with the whole time didn’t get it for another two weeks!
Hope your little girl is okay!

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will just have to wait and see!

A couple spots then two days later hundreds. I've also had a child exposed get a couple of spots (possibly could of been bug bites) who never went on to develop chicken pox.
