Flu jab late in pregnancy

anyone had the flu jab after 36 weeks pregnant and if so was everything okay after with baby? if you haven't, would you bother so late??

I'm booked for mine at almost 38 weeks. I don't want to be hit with the flu whilst looking after a newborn so it's a no brainer for me. Having a newborn is like being run over by a train, I dont want any illness' making it more difficult

No. Im a nurse and I’d never have any jabs whilst pregnant

as long as you’re making an informed decision then you’re making the right one for yourself

This post is spot on. I had covid when my baby was 3 days old, got it from the hospital (pretty sure as that was the only place I had been for weeks) and it was horrible. Actually horrific.

I would get the jab still personally

I definitely would. There’s no significant risk I’m aware of. Flu on the other hand is horrendous. People sometimes think it’s like a heavy cold, it’s really not. I wouldn’t want it at the best of times, never mind when heavily pregnant or with a new born. You’d be out for the count.
