Hi
I have an 8 month old bab who I love. Recently I have been working a lot more overtime as they've needed me and I (regretfully) said yes. I worked 4 days a week last week and I have also had an upset stomach, fatigue, nausea and some confusion for a week now. This means I haven't seen my baby much. It's really upsetting me and making me feel so scared that she won't know who I am. Her dad and I aren't together so we see her 50-50 anyway which has also raised my concern. I have barely seen her the last one and a half weeks and I'm so upset

Of course she will-it’s wired into her. Sorry you’ve been having a stressful time though. Sounds tough. Xx

You will always be her Mummy. She will always see you differently to others. You're part of each other.
I know how hard it is to feel guilty all the time.
But she will never ever forget you ♥️

Will you forget her?? Well then, there's your answer! Be kind to yourself. It's hard to be amazing when you feel a bit shit. I hope you feel better.

Thank you Sad but she's not upset missing me so I worry she doesn't even know me anymore or thinks her nanny is her mum! Sorry, sounds so silly I know

I'm a childminder and I've minded babies 60 hours a week. They form a good bond with me but no one ever beats mum. You are the most important person in your DD 's life.

I’m so sorry you feel this way. Things change, don’t beat yourself up. Be kind to yourself. You are your baby’s mum forever, she will not stop loving you. Hope you’ll be able to see her more soon

KangarooKenny · 10/09/2022 20:03

Be glad that she’s not missing you, it means she’s happy with whoever is caring for her

You are raising a happy little baby with the confidence to be with others. Be proud. You sound like a wonderful mum.
