So the title says it all. Sick every two weeks with something new. He's 3 years and and 5 months old. Since his birthday he has has covid , cold , influenza , a vew colds in between gastro , covid and now another cold. And honestly I'm getting concerned. He handles them all pretty well. He's never required hospital treatment or antibiotics. But I feel every time he gets hit by something else I feel more growth of concern.

Any advice or tips.
.I'm also relatively new here only posting once before this, forgive me if I've posted this in the incorrect category.

It happens to all of them around that age, especially if they have just started nursery or a new setting. When my DS was little, I had to take so much time off work because he was poorly it was ridiculous! It does settle down though - honest!

He's a rough ride!
It is completely normal though. They seem to get hit with everything one after the other then it'll just stop.

I think this age can be pretty relentless with catching everything going. I read that the pandemic has made it worse as childrens developing immune systems didn't have the usual exposure to the bacteria and viruses they usually come into contact with. I've heard so many parents saying the same thing that it's one thing after another with sicknesses that are more usual in winter like flu, noro, chest infections. It's grim but it will get better as his immune system gets stronger .

Thank you all for replying. I ended up posting twice as one got lost in transit somewhere, so thankfully I have some responses to this thread.

Just hearing from 3 people this is considered normal makes me feel a little at ease. I have discussed my fears with my doctor a few times but my gut over the last few weeks has been turning ill wondering if it was something more and I should be pushing for some sort of test to be done, but I'm not even sure what to test for in this case.

Sometimes it's nice just to hear from other mums in similar situations, so once again all I pray this gets better for him and worry less for mum!!

Hi, I know this post is a few months old now but I wondered how you got on please? My son's 3.5 and I'm pulling my hair out with him constantly being poorly!
