Taking a 2 month old swimming

I have booked for our family (me, partner and our two boys) to go swimming at a local private pool today. My youngest is 2 months and I've suddenly realised I don't have a swimming costume for him, mum fail I know, life is rather busy with 2 under 2!

Our nearest town is 45 minuets away and I just would rather not have to go in just for a swimsuit.

Do you think just a swim nappy will be okay or put a regular vest on top? He's only going to be in for about 10 minutes probably!

Young babies can get cold very fast so I'd definitely try and find something to wear rather than just a swim nappy. The pool may sell some? Otherwise maybe post on a local group to see if you can borrow something? Have fun!

Some pools require a double swim nappy on babies - disposable swim nappy & neoprene cover. It is to prevent a baby poonami ruining the pool for everyone. The neoprene cover swim nappies are easy to get on Amazon or probably second hand.

No it won't likely be ok, swim nappies are a bit shit really and a regular vest won't keep the baby warm. I'd try and borrow a wetsuit type one or go into town

Call the pool and see if they sell baby s
stuff. My local pool does. They need more than a couple of swim nappies, they’ll be freezing

They need a proper swimming suit on at this age as they cannot regulate their body temperature. A normal swimming pool will be very cold for your baby so the more insulation they have the better.
