My DD is 3 months this week and the lash couple of days has been fussier than normal. Crying and whinging all day.
today it’s amplified and she’s been screaming all day.
I have tried everything - feeding her/changing her/sling/bouncy chair/singing to her/cuddles/took her outside for walk in pram and fresh air/light machine in dark room as she normally likes sensory stuff like that/winding her. She still screams. She’s not poorly.
she Has always been a windy baby but has been a lot better since 8/9 weeks and today she’s constantly farting and probably taking in loads of air as she’s hysterical.

I feel terrible and I’m struggling and feel like a crap mum. She’s always been a fussy baby but I thought things weee getting better but she’s miserable and hysterical again. Im worried the neighbours will think I’m harming her as she won’t stop crying :(

she’s also now hyper aware of everything around her and distracted as seems like she is seeing more. And is constantly staring at her hands in between screaming.

I want to cry. This is so hard. I just want her to be happy. DH is working long shifts so alone and no one around atm to help which is why I’m posting here.

The aptimal “comfort” caused less wind than full strength aptimal for my baby… who roared the house down.. also can you get help? A break? Some uninterrupted sleep? Can someone walk her in a buggy in the afternoon for an hour? It’s very hard on your own with partner doing long shifts.. get help.. this time will pass… oh and gripe water?

@everydayiscakeday GPs are a nightmare for this sort of thing. Which I can confirm if you'd like to read my ongoing aibu thread on the subject 🤦‍♀️ I know how awful things seem now, and it is a case of fumbling through trying to guess what might be wrong (if anything at all!) Hang in there mama 💓

Dairy allergy often goes hand in hand with soya allergy, so of you are going to the hassle of eliminating dairy…do both.

you can buy amino acid based formulas (absolutely no allergens) on amazon. Aptamil 1 Pepti Milk Powder by Aptamil, 400gm Is one option, if you try it for a fortnight and she improves, you can go to the GP with evidence. I would only try this with one of the major branded formula companies baby milks, so you know you are giving her a reliable product.

Have you tried giving her some calpol? If she is teething(as the dribbling and hand chewing would suggest) and in pain all the skin to skin etc in the world isn't really going to help.
