Hi Mums,

I'm needing some tips and advice please. My 6 month old has just moved to her big girl cot but now she is starting to roll round in the night and ends up being face down most of the night, she does turn her head and is able to roll both sides on her own. still can't sit up on her own just yet but it won't be long. Is it normal for babies to sleep on there front most the night? or how do i stop this. i have tried anti roller but she can't roll back over when she has that so have taken it away now. So worried she will fall asleep face down. she is a good sleeper but very active sleeper and moves ALOt in her sleep.

Am i worrying too much and just let her be? or shall i do something about it?

P.S i am not sleeping because i am worried and checking on her every half hour.

Thank you

Totally normal. Most babies prefer sleeping on their front. Once she can now roll you just need to let her be. Just make sure you follow safe sleeping advice (check Lullaby Trust), like firm mattress, no loose sheets etc.
Any anti rollers etc are against safe sleeping guidelines.

You will find she prefers to front and side sleep.

My daughter is a tummy sleeper and learnt to roll at 3 months as she was so determined to be on her front! It freaked me out a bit when she was in the SnuzPod as there's not much space for rolling but in a proper cot/cot bed she'll have plenty of space to roll around to her heart's content and will be happier doing so, so let her be. The Lullaby Trust's advice is basically once they can happily roll both ways they're fine to be left on their tummy to sleep.
