Can anyone recommend a cloth nappy for my long chubby DS

Hi there I am currently using Bumbles but recently have noticed they are very short in the rise.
My DS is very long and at present is quite chubby
He is 9 months old and has yet to get moving.
Can anyone recommend a nappy that will fit a tall chubster
He is quite a heavy wetter and would like one that last a fair while in the night too, thanks.

I'm surprised you have found bumbles to be short in the rise from what I remember they were quite high rise .

My DD is very long and we use Ellas House Day Nappies. They are incredibly slim fitting, very absorbant and have do have a high rise. They are an acquired taste though as they are hemp - you would need access to a tumble drier to keep them soft. I boost mine with a single microfibre dishcloth and that will last 6 hours

Avoid baby beehinds IMO, not very high rise, my skinny DD is nearly to wide for them at 20 months despite them being a btp nappy.

Bambinex (bambineo) bamboo are high in the rise and have long cross over tabs s will fit a tall and larger waisted baby well

Fuzzis - will adjust well for chubster legs and tummies or lollipop microfleece nappies are great too.

Thanks for the replies. The bumbles were great initially as they were a good rise, however not sure if DS has had a growth spurt as they seem to come way below his belly button now.
Will look into the nappies you have suggested maybe I can get some pre loved ones to try

I agree with curlywurlycremeegg that bambinex (I think they used to be geobel) are good for tall children as well as being quite trim fitting so they are not to bulking for the chubbier baby (like my little monkey)

Just got one of my trial kits back today. I had a quick measure up for you and the bambinex (prev known as Geobel as Hawesmead said) have got the highest rise of the lot.

The btp wonderoo is quite high but the size 1 (7-22lb) bambinex bamboo I have has a slightly higher rise (it is higher than a MEOS). Thought that was pretty impressive for a Size 1. Plus it is a nice trim fit - would be fab and a long thin user . FYI the rise of the size 1 is 9 inches when stretched out half way (get your tape measure out on the bumble )

hth - happy shopping!

Thanks coby for your help, I will have a look at the measurements on the Bumble.
I tried a nappy today that fitted my DS really well called a stuffie.
Unfortunately the website angel tots that sells them have none in stock.
Does anyone know of anywhere else that stocks them?

That is the only place that sells them online - I think they haven't had any in stock for ages - certainly seems that way!

Have a look here there are a few for sale at pretty good prices

Good luck!

Grrrrr...link doesn't work for some reason

go here www.nappyneeds.co.uk/ then to the classifieds section (link in the centre of the page right near the top). Then you can do a search as required

ejayjay · 24/01/2008 13:47

Thanks coby have found some nappies on there that I would like to try, I didn't know about this site
Going to mail the sellers now.
