Charities for baby clothes/gear?

So my baby was very small when born - he has ballooned now and outgrew his "tiny" baby clothes within about 1 week! I have also been so lucky that my sister had a baby boy 8 months before I did so I've been handed so much stuff.

I literally have so many boys clothes (ranging from tiny baby to newborn as he is in 0-3 months now) a buggy, a cot and about 20 Tommy tippee bottles most unopened as he didn't take to them.

I tried my local hospital who aren't taking anything because of covid (shame as so many mothers have premature babies and could make such good use of the clothes), and 3 charities on my high Street but they don't sell baby stuff. I listed some stuff free on market place and one lady picked up a bouncy chair but listed it a day later and was asking for money for it which defeats what I want to do.

Are there any charities people know of I can give this stuff to? I don't mind driving a bit (I'm in the south) or posting. Some of the clothes have never been out of the packaging.

I found it really hard to donate stuff. Councils used to do lots of baby banks but they don't have money to run them any more. I found out the Salvation Army runs a baby bank in London and so I donated a lot of stuff to them. I really wanted to give it somewhere people wouldn't have to pay for it.

Is there a 'baby bank' near you? There are 2 close to us. Or a charity working with refugees? Our local one is supporting several pregnant women

Where abouts are you in the south- we are sussex and I can name charities locally?
Although they are both quite fussy about what they take due to lack of storage space

Ask on your local parenting Facebook group or google baby banks in your area or ask your HV if she knows of any.

Sqme - that's why I wanted to give it to the hospital as a first choice but understand why they won't take it. Thanks - I can get to London relatively easily so I'll look into that

Stripes stork baby bank is Surrey based and ten little toes is Sussex based. They may be able to point you to a bank closer to you as I know they work as a network where possible.
Sussex aid for refugees were after some baby stuff

Are you close to the Berkshire border? There’s a fab charity I can recommend if you are 😊

Find your local children's Centre (might be where you take DS for weigh in) they usually take clothes. Mine do and are very appreciative of any donations.

Thank you all so much for the suggestions. I'll take a look later when my partner finishes work and has the baby for a few hours (currently dealing with a meltdown because I won't let him chew the changing mat...!!)
I really would love people who need it to get good use out of the stuff especially with the cost of living right now and the fact the bottles and a lot of the clothes have never even been opened
