Napping in baby swing

My baby (8weeks) will literally not nap anywhere else. Not even in a sling or carrier.

He will sleep on me for about 10 minutes max but today I tried a swing my friend gave to me and he seems to have had the longest nap he ever has.

Is this really bad ? I mean I'm not stupid and wouldn't use for long stretches of sleep but for a nap? Or do I need to stop this right now

My baby always napped in the swing, movement and music meat they were decent naps!

It's fine for a nap, I wouldn't put them in there to sleep for the night.

Yeah he seems to love it. He also woke up really happy which does not happen often!

No I never would - was just thinking for his day time naps. And I wouldn't let him have hugely long stretches in it.

My first baby had a lot of her naps in a swing. It's best for a baby to sleep on a firm flat surface by mine wouldn't! The swing we had had two positions - the more upright one was only for 4+ months only. I think as long as you supervise the sleep it's safe for napping. Stop using it when your baby can sit up or is over the weight limit.

Thank you. Yeah everything i read says hard flat surface but whats worse - napping on the swing where I will be supervising at all times or not napping at all.

Thanks for all the replies! Going to let him nap there if that's how he gets some peace
