Any teething gels I see are all either 5 months or 6 months

My baby currently 4 months, has anyone used them at this age

There's very little that actually works that you can give a baby that age, except calpol and nurofen.

Are you sure baby is actually teething though? This is the age where they discover their hands and start chewing furiously on those and anything else they can find, complete with LOTS of drool, but it would be pretty early for actual teeth to be coming through.

No teeth yet, but lots if chewing, dribbing etc, I'm a first time mum, people keep saying oh she is teething

If you put your fingers in her mouth, can you feel sharp teeth under the gums, or just the usual firmness? Does she actually seem to be in pain, or just gumming on things?

DD2 is nearly 6m and has been chewing and dribbling for weeks, but when you feel her gums there's nothing close to cutting through yet.

People love to tell you that your baby must be doing XYZ. It's almost always nonsense. You'll get "she must be nearly crawling" soon, and you'll start freaking out that she's delayed if she isn't showing signs. Folk just love to say something, it can all be ignored!

You don’t need to do anything the dribbling and chewing will go on for months!

Perhaps calpol if baby seems especially upset by their teeth.

I've found Ashton&Parsons gel which I believe is ok from 3 months (www.ashtonandparsons.co.uk/our-remedies/teething-gel/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiqvL6uyy-QIVGIxoCR2akgdOEAAYASAAEgJDcvD_BwE) a godsend. Yes she is still grizzly but it definitely helps my daughter - we've 2 teeth so far...😬

Sorry meant to add intend to use it after her last feed before bed to help soothe her. Occasionally once more during the day if she is particularly upset and in pain.
