Proprioception at this age???

Well, my DD just turned 7. I've noticed the last 2-3 weeks that there's a kind of proprioceprion and I don't l know at what age it's normal. I tried to Google and it confused more. When I say proprioceprion I mean for example. She's playing on her tummy. I will roll a small ball to her. The ball will reach to her thigh. She'll grab it without looking and bring it to her mouth. Is it something that babies start to do around 6 months old?

I mean 7 months old. Sorry it wasn't clear.

I think giving names like this to absolutely normal baby activity is pointless. Yes - it's normal for babies to put things in their mouth.

Proprioception is developing from birth

I'm going to guess your little one feels something on her leg, reaches for it and it just happens to be in the right place for her grab -normal for 6 months

But very fun to help her develop further when you are playing with her Smile

Didn't know it was normal (first time mum) 😅 Google said from birth and some articles from 3-4 years old so I was confused!
Thanks for your reply.

she could be reciting shakespeare while juggling and some people on here will say 'oh yes mine did that at 4 months, very average, just enjoy her' with a head tilt

I think it's pretty good for a 7 month old

4-5 is usually when it's really well developed -it's what helps children ride bikes, develop their writing eat mindlessly whilst watching tv etc
