Potty-prizes and going more than necessary?

My dd (just 2, young I know but she was the one who started the process) has been using the potty for awhile now and we were doing really well. then, we went on holidays and things have gone haywire. She's started holding it in (to the point where she sits on the ground and wriggles) and won't go on the loo or potty. Coures, this is only sometimes, not all the time. At times, we have no problems and it's a painless trip to the loo. Pooing is not a problem (I see from other posts that I am lucky for that!).

So, I don't really want to go backwards and put her in nappies again. She was in pull-ups while on holidays and had almost not accidents but many "holding it in" incidents. I would put her in pull-ups now but I'm in Brazil and can't get them. Have a bit of a reserve of about 20 or so leftover from the trip but after that, it's back to traditional nappies if that is what needs to happen. I don't mind the accidents but I'm worried about her holding it in for too long...

After that long ramble, my question is the following - if you give them rewards for going (I'm thinking to try five stickers leads to chocolate or something of the like) will they not end up wanting to go ALL the time even when they don't really need to go? I'm afraid to end up with the opposite problem... Anyone with experience of that?
