How to get my 15 month old to sleep later!

So my daughter is just the last few weeks has started to sleep through in her cot but more often than not is up and ready for the day around 5-530pm 😅 sometimes just before 5. She will not go back to sleep and usually does a poo on walking so she needs changing and that's then us starting the day. Is she just an early bird or will this get better? She goes down between 7-730pm

Blackout blinds. Put her down for the night later.

Black out blinds and white noise can help.

You could try putting her down a little later.

But lots and lots of kids are just early wakers! I would try changing and then resettling her, leave her in her cot as long as she isn't very upset. I would avoid giving her breakfast as soon as she wakes because she'll then be expecting food at 5am, wait until a normal breakfast time if possible.

How many naps is she on? My DD is 18 months and from 11 months when she started sleeping through she’d wake at 5/5.30. It went on for months but suddenly sorted itself out around 16 months and she started regularly sleeping til 6/6.30. The only thing we did differently was drop to one lunchtime nap consistently (it varied before that, usually one at nursery but two if she was at home with us). Took a couple of weeks to adjust and honestly I never thought I’d see the day! Hope it changes for you too soon x

Following. My DD is 18 months old and has also started waking at 5am most days now she is generally sleeping through. I expect we just need to ride it out. My DD goes to bed quite early (630-7pm), but is going between 1 and 2 naps and on 1 nap days she is exhausted by 6pm so hard to keep her up later. I'm hoping once she is a bit older and coping better on 1 nap a later bedtime & wake up will be possible.

From what my friends have found an early start is common once they start sleeping through but gradually sorted itself.

@EmmaInParis she has one nap a day usually between 1.5-2.5 hours either late morning or early afternoon.
She has white noise and blackout blinds but think we need curtains as well because it's still quite bright in the morning..
The no food or milk on walking is a good idea though I'll try that! Thanks all
