Roll? Don't roll?

DD is 5m and can roll back to front but not the other way. Excellent head control, very strong, almost pushing up to all 4s.

She's rolled onto her front while asleep. She won't be able to get back into her back. Do I need to go in and flip her?

Nope, no need. If she is a strong roller with good head control, then the advice is you don't need to move her back.

No I never rolled back once they learned to roll onto their front at night.

No, it's fine. Lullaby trust says if they've found their own position you can leave them in it. It won't hurt if you do put her back on her back though, so you can do if you're worried about it. But basically don't set alarms to keep checking throughout the night and don't try and prop them up with anything - if she's determined she'll get there anyway.

It's not about them being able to flip back onto their back, it's about them being able to move their heads etc.

Thanks guys. Not even a FTM, but DD1 rolled front/back before back/front so I never had to worry about this!

I think front/back is normally the first one they do, DS1 did it the wrong way around too! (I can't actually remember which one they are meant to do first.)
