Aldi wipes.. now Morrisons wipes

Sorry.. bit of a moan..
Aldi changed their wipes (as I'm sure a lot of you will probably know).
We changed to Morrisons fragranced. They've been out of stock for a week or two. Now they have new ones. Different packaging (don't have the clip lid thing) and the actual wipes are now similar to the new Aldi quality 😭 the only other wipes I like are pampers. Tried tescos and asdas and didn't like either of those.

Any recommendations for different wipes? Pampers can be quite expensive but looks like I'm going to have to pay for them if there's nothing cheaper out there

Again, sorry for the moan.. I know there are much bigger problems out there

We use huggies pure. Through nectar usually can stock up on them at 70p a pack

flannel & warm water?

PinkButtercups · 11/07/2022 19:21

I get the ones in savers.

This is the link but they're 99p in Savers and actual wet wipes that are quite large!

Sorry to be that person, but cheeky wipes.

They’re all gradually removing the plastic from them which is causing the “problem”.

emetophobe12 · 11/07/2022 19:30

Thanks guys. Forgot to say we absolutely hate Huggies. They're like tissue paper!

Yeah I did notice they say 'free from plastic' on them. But does that mean they need to make the wipes smaller in size and put less in the pack but still increase the price? 😬

Oh bollocks. That's really annoying. We've been using the Morrisons sensitive ones for a while now because the multi pack packs all have lids not peel back strips.

Brunonononooo · 11/07/2022 19:54

I like the Amazon ones too but I don’t mind the Aldi ones as they are now plastic free. We also are trying to use cheeky wipes for anything that isn’t poo and I think they actually do a much better job anyway!

emetophobe12 · 11/07/2022 20:26

@FoxtrotSkarloey yeah. If your local Morrisons has the old ones still in stock I'd go and grab some! I mean they're not awful. Aldi's wipes are a lot worse but you can definitely feel the difference. And yeah we liked the lids too. DS hasn't figured out how to open them yet but knows how to peel open the other ones so they end up everywhere if we forget to move the packet out of reach 😬

I'm intrigued. I've never heard of or seen cheeky wipes. I'll Google them

Has anyone tried Costco's Kirkland brand? I don't want to buy a huge box if they're crap

Not tried costco wipes but they have a pretty good returns policy so if they are crap you probably could take the rest of the box back and get a refund.

We use reusable wipes at home and they are so much better for cleaning poo than the normal wipes! You need at least half as many per change! Baby had an undiagnosed milk allergy so until about a month ago was pooing 8+ times a day so they were a life saver 😂

I’ve used just about every brand going, including abroad from our expat stints, and the only ones that are any good IMO are Pampers Pure. The new coconut plastic free Pampers Pure are equally as good, better even since they smell nice. Costco are awful, or at least the American ones are, not tried them here. I do quite like cheeky wipes for faces and hands after meals at home but wouldn’t use them for nappy changes or out of the house.

Roseandrose20 · 12/07/2022 19:33

I like Sainsburys own brand and occasionally boots own brand

Caspianberg · 12/07/2022 19:40

We use cheeky wipes. But we only bought the wipes as a good size, and none of the pots or oils.
we just wet them with warm water fresh at each change. Now potty trained still use for hands and face after food. Then will use for cleaning

we bought 50. On offer was around £30 total. That’s been for over 2 years wipe usage

MynameisJune · 12/07/2022 19:43

I used a load of cheap IKEA flannels that are now used for cleaning/DH’s oil rags in the garage.

We now just use flannels for face and hands etc.

Anotherusernamethisweek · 12/07/2022 19:43

I get pampers. Box of 12 packs is £9.50 at sainsburys (or was last time I got them) I hate all other wipes and baby seems to be allergic to the Lidl ones 🙄

SpaghettiNotCourgetti · 12/07/2022 19:49

Water Wipes? We always use them and have for both DDs. The only issue I've found with them is that they can be VERY wet - we have to have a muslin on hand to dry the baby's bum with or it can get a bit nappy rashy.

livelyliz · 12/07/2022 20:16

Boots? I use them for GD and they are easy to remove and stay wet.

Andariego · 13/07/2022 06:49

I dislike the Huggies type wipes too, and also used Aldi and then Morrisons. So annoying that they’ve changed them! I now use Lidl wipes which are good but don’t have a lid.

thesunwillout · 13/07/2022 06:51

Tesco fragrance free are great
