12mo won't drink, dry nappies

Hi I hope you can help me.
In the heat I really struggle to encourage my 12mo to drink enough water / milk / anything to keep her hydrated enough so she consistently not very wet/almost dry nappies.

I am currently trying to wean her from breastfeeding but she is still breastfed morning and evening and once in the night (she will always take boob) plus she'll be offered milk (formula because she's Cmpa and oat milk makes her sick) at breakfast, morning snack and afternoon snack. We also encourage her to take sips of water throughout the day.

She drinks maybe 5oz of formula across the whole day despite being offered it on 3 separate occasions, and the water she will often refuse (tried all sorts of cups) or take a bit and then spit it down her front.

Im at a loss what to do. I don't think my breastmilk supply is amazing so even when I let her have a breastfeed in the day I don't think she's getting much. I worry about her all the time because she needs to be doing more wees and drinking more!

Anyone have any tips?

Will they eat ice pops?

Have you tried water mixed with a little juice? That's the only way my friend could ever get her daughter to drink water ever! Xx

Have you tried water in a feeding bottle?

Does she get a cuddle with her feeds? I know she will when breast feeding.

Is she weaning yet? Watermelon is mostly water, you can get fluid from some foods. Cucumber and tomatoes are also good, and obviously soup.

What about ice cubes or ice chips? Frozen berries?

Think about 'fluid' rather than liquid, fluid from fruit and veg is still fluid.

Things that have helped my DC drink plain water are ice cubes, getting sparkling water, and interesting shaped bottles / straws. When not at school / preschool they mostly drink sugar free squash though, have you tried squash?

(Fruit juice as suggested by a PP is bad for their teeth, and I have a DC with teeth problems so we only have it as a special treat.)

If your daughter isn't wetting nappies you need to call 111.

Give her squash, or fresh juice, milkshakes anything to get her drinking.
