Car seats which last until 4 years or whatever age is based on the average size. If your child is slightly bigger they will outgrow it quicker.

Joie tend to be the cheapest make. You’re not going to get a new up to 4 rear facing car seat for £70.

£70 for something to last 4 years? You're not going to get it. Spending £200 on a good carseat is £50 a year.

We use the Joie i-spin 360. It's closer to £300 but it has a very good safety rating and I can't recommend it enough. Spinning carseats are definitely worth the extra money.

Joie Tilt or Graco Extend can do what you want, but it's very short in the shell and won't last most children to age 4 rear facing, most get to about 2 as their head shouldn't go over the end of the shell.

Joie Steadi is about £90 and can rear face up to 18kg, has a headrest that adjusts so more height capacity. Graco Enhance, similar, around this price.

However please be aware that age 4 is just an estimate of when children will outgrow these seats. All children grow at slightly different rates, so if you have tall/heavy children they may meet the 18kg milestone earlier and need a different seat.

Car seats are moving to i size, which is done on height, not age. Imo you are much better off being in an infant carrier for as long as possible as they are safest and then buying an extended rear facing seat after that. You just aren't going to get what you're looking for on that budget I'm afraid.
