Best pram for taking abroad

I currently have an egg buggy which I love everything about apart from having to remove the seat from the chassis.

With that being said, I'm going to buy a second hand pram for the summer that can fold up all as one. It can't be a buggy as my LO will only be 5 months old.

Any recommendations?

At 5months your baby might be fine in a buggy that lies flat or nearly flat.

A cheap one if you are going on an airplane! You can get lie flat buggies. The Joie brand does a great basic pram. Fits their car seat in it too. Big sun shade.

You can get folding push chairs that are fine from birth. By 5 months they can probably be on a bit more of an incline anyway, mine weren't lying totally flat at that age. Means they can see more.

My LO doesn't have a lot of head control so I would like a reclining seat at thr very least. We have a city trip to Prague and a 2 week holiday to turkey so I'd love a pram he can settle in so I'm not confined to the cot in the room.

Another request would be ideal backward facing.

I've just found the HELLO 2 in 1 from Very that seems to fit the bill. However, I'd feel much more happy purchasing a pram I know someone has used and loved

I loved my Quinny Zapp, it folds small enough to take on the plane as hand luggage and lays flat with the option of forward or rear facing (it was a few years since I had one but I’m sure they are still around)

Just googled and It was the quinny zapp xtra2 that I had.

Babyzen yoyo

Cybex easy s twist 2. Compact, can parent face and lie flat.

If you can stretch to it get the babyzen yoyo with the newborn pack. It's pretty much the only one that is small enough to take as cabin baggage.

They aren't made anymore but you can buy them pre-owned, we have the mothercare ride. It is a very light weight compact buggy that can be used from birth. I took ours on holiday (in the UK but didn't have much room in car for big pram) last month for my 5.5month old. She's very tiny for her age but was absolutely fine in the pushchair with the straps at the lowest setting and seat at a slight recline, or fully reclined if she wanted to sleep. We also had the egg pushchair and loved it for all three of mine but yes it's definitely not practical for travel, especially as we were using it as a tandem

Our girl is 3 now so got rid of it a few months back but we were using the Joie Versatrax and found it great, it will be even better for younger babies rather than toddlers. It's forward facing and packs down really small.
