10.5 month old suddenly refusing solids

Shes always loved her food from 6 months and has never refused anything but the last week she has started just throwing it all on the floor or in her lap. I'm so confused (but the dog is very pleased)

I tell her no when she tries to throw it, and show her that I'm eating my dinner etc but she just isn't bothered anymore.

I think she has 4 teeth coming in so could it be a painful mouth maybe??

Any tips or advice would be gratefully appreciated 😀

Just wait for it to pass.

I wouldn't say no to her or make an issue of it. Give her the food, let her eat what she wants, clear up the rest.

Yup, 100% teething

Also with the throwing, several things you can do: don't give her a full plate of food, hand her one bit at a time. This reduces the amount that ends up on the floor, and can also reduce the throwing cs it doesn't look so overwhelming. Put down a mat under her highchair, and if she does throw her food, pick it up and put it back on her plate. Say "food stays on the plate or goes in your mouth". If she throws again say "throwing your food away tells me you're all finished" and then take the plate away and try again in 5 minutes if you think she's still hungry.

Exactly the same thing happening here at the same age, I've spoken to quite a few other mums who have said the same. I think it's a developmental regression of sorts. We're just going with it and continuing to offer 3 meals of varied contents, if she doesn't eat much we give her bigger bottles to make up calorie intake. Its really frustrating at times but im hoping it passes soon!

Also - I don't pick up anything she throws while she is in sight, in case it becomes a game. I also do what a pp suggested and hand her one bit of food at a time.

Probably coming down with something.

I only ever put one bit of food at a time on their plate or table as it's too tempting to play with it and just chuck it about.
