Is this ok?

DD2 is 4m old and her sleep is just starting to settle into a pattern. But it's a bit of a weird one! And Ive lost all my confidence in what's ok and not.

We're not really operating on a strict schedule, more of a rhythm, which is roughly as follows...

Wake up! (Usually between 6 and 7)
2hrs awake
3hr nap
2hrs awake
1.5-2hr nap
2hrs awake
30min nap
1.5-2hrs awake
Bedtime (late ish, usually around 9 or 10ish)

Overnight we have 2 or 3 wakes, and baby is EBF.

I know it's a good amount of sleep but the total number of naps seems low for a baby this small and I'd love to bring bedtime forward. But realistically that would mean dropping the cat nap and 2 naps at 4m seems bonkers. Should I be making her take more, shorter naps?

Seems normal to me- you will likely see less naps and a slightly earlier bedtime come 6months.

Thank you. You'd think I was a FTM the amount of confusion this is all causing me!

I really wouldn’t worry about it at 4 months. If she’s napping for 3 hrs followed bY another 2 then just let her. Those are very long naps and she won’t do it forever. The best advice really is that everything is a phase. She will probably be doing something totally different in a few weeks anyway, no point stressing at this age.

3 naps sounds absolutely fine. And yes, no sense in worrying about long term as it all changes every couple of weeks at this age.

I recommend the huckleberry app and guidance for understanding 'normal' and helping to shift forward bedtime. It's a game changer when they go to bed at 7ish!
