My 7.5 mo dd wants to stand up on the time so I was thinking about buying her a baby walker, not the kind you sit in, the ones that the push around.
Are they a good idea?
Which one is best?

My DD is 7 months and my sister got her one for xmas. She hasn't really played with it though as she's not really doing any standing yet. It's a lion that turns into a ride on so it will last her for quite a while once she shows some interest in it. I thought you might mean the ones tat they sit in. DD has one of those and she loooves it, gives her a little sense of independence, lol.

Would the ones you push around be too hard for her? If she is only weight bearing, will she actually be able to push it?? We had one that you stand/sit in and our kids loved it?? After they had started taking their first steps, we got one that you push. Personally, I don't think they do any harm - it's like everything else, do it in moderation!

I think she would be ready for a push along one if i kept hold of it so it didn't go too fast!!!!I'll have a look at the ride on ones. Thanks guys x

DOnt get the wooden ones with trays. Not very stable at all.

DD1 had this one and got on very well with it and DD2 is doing now too. It's had a lot of use as it turns into a car too.

Also it's very stable and doesn't hurt their feet if they go backwards and bump feet/shins.

We had this one horse that you can sit on or push. Very stable and much loved.

A door bouncer might be another way of letting her be upright?
