Stroller recommendations

Anyone got any recommendations for a stroller?

I have a UppaBaby Cruz travel system which I love, but needing a smaller lightweight stroller to use as well.

I would like something that lie flats, large hood for shade, to help with pram naps. Large storage basket (if possible) as we do lots of walks. Easy fold. Good suspension on different terrains, we live quite rural. But would also like something that is cabin friendly, as we are looking to go abroad and as single parent it would be easier.

I don’t think all the above is possible. But anything close?

The cabin friendly will be the sticking point as they all seem to have tiny wheels. Good for shopping centres not for mud or off roading.
I keep seeing Babyzen YOYO² when out and about.
Bugaboo also do a travel size one.
I'm just not sure how good they are for day to day life.
We learnt when flying that if you take a pushchair to the gate boarding your not necessarily going get it back before luggage reclaim, so to be sure you will have it the whole time it needs to be cabin size but then each airline has different rules.

We have the Ergobaby Metro whilst my DSiL has the Babyzen Yo-Yo. The Metro has the bigger hood, better storage basket and a near lie-flat feature, whilst her yo-yo only reclines to a max of 145 degrees. The Metro has larger wheels and better suspension. Small wheels are useless on the beach. I also find that the straps are less fiddly on the Metro, but I suppose it’s what you’re used to. The yo-yo has more optional extras and there really is an accessory for every eventuality and need. Size and weight wise, they’re almost identical and both fold neatly with one hand. Also, the Metro has a higher weight limit so it will last you a bit longer in the toddler years.

I'd buy two, one for travel and one as a stroller.

Silver Cross pop as a stroller to use daily.

Then get one of the cheaper travel options.

@Lavender2021 cabin size does seem to be the sticking point! Thank you, I’ve looked at the bugaboo but it’s new to the market so not many reviews.thats my concern with luggage, as it seems you can wait hours for your bags at the moment to be unloaded.

@Fivemoreminutes1 thanks the ErgoBaby Metro plus looks good. Does it sit fairly upright too?

@Hercisback I did think this, but I would then have 3! I still plan to use the Uppababy for walks locally. It’s just getting harder to fit in the car with toys, luggage and going out with friends and their prams. We are trying to carshare as much as possible for days out.

Upright seat angle for the Metro is 105 degrees

Second vote for the Metro - one other major difference is that it has a larger back wheel than the Yoyo. It's still a compact, far from all-terrain but it does better at eg. the dirt/gravel paths on the common near us than friends' Yoyos

I had a MacLaren stroller for ds, we used it from 3 months old, it never let us down, the basket wasn't massive but I just hooked bags over the handles. Now those weights are available to stop them tipping this isn't a problem. Ours was in & out of the car, we flew with it & it still looked like new when ds no longer needed it.
