I have 3DC 13, 11 and 1.

Very few issues with the older two - both very polite, mostly well behaved never really have a terrible twos phase. One has ASD so a few social issues but on the whole very well behaved.

The newest one I can see is going to be very different.

What are the best parenting books you have read.
I can see I will have to take a different approach with her Grin

The only one I've read is Philippa Perry's The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read.

It might not be what you're looking for (it's really about relationships) but I honestly found it life changing.

Also anything by Janet Lansbury.

Agree with both suggestions above. Janet Lansbury has a website with blogs and podcast transcripts on. Also How to talk so little kids will listen.

Gabor Mate’s ‘Hold on to your kids’

My top 3 are:

How to talk so kids will listen and how to listen so children talk

A-Z of Theraputic parenting by Sarah Naish

Autism: how to raise a happy child by Jesse Hewitson

Anything by Daniel Seigal or Margot Sunderland

if you’re feeling brave then “Why love matters” by Sue Gerdhart is the best I’ve ever read but it’s not for everyone.

French Children Don't Throw Food.

How is she different and that approach did you take with your older ones?

My favourites are how to talk so kids will listen, used that with my 13yo. From the newer books I like no drama discipline and Janet Lansbury's podcasts, not really get I book though. Ross Greene is amazing, love Raising Human Beings and his podcast.

My favourite one is "why it's ok not to share" or something like that.

I also liked "how to talk so little kids will listen" from the daughter of the author who wrote "how to talk so kids will listen and how to listen so kids will talk".

Also, Danish parenting (or something like that. Sorry I'm too lazy to look up the exact titles or authors).
