Rewards for sticker charts

Morning and bedtime routines are getting frantic and shouty at home which I know isn't helping. I tried a sticker chart this morning for the morning routine.. toilet, teeth, breakfast, dressed. If he gets all 4 he gets a fruit bar.. and it worked great!

I was thinking to do the same for bedtime and DS is keen too.. but any thoughts of what I could do as the reward? Would rather it wasn't snack based. The best I can think of is an extra story, but I'm not sure that's overly motivating!

DS is 5

Thanks 😊

Could he understand collecting a certain number of stickers to get a bigger reward after a few days then it could be a small toy?
Or a token for extra TV time the next day?
Or 20p?

He gets a sticker for each routine he does. If he gets 14 (so 2 a day) he can have some pocket money say £1 which he can spend as he chooses.

Or if he gets enough you can have a special treat day out like going to a special park or out for lunch whatever he enjoys.

We tried to avoid food rewards too, especially sweet treats. DD used to get a cBeebies magazine or a small toy like a bouncy ball or a pot of bubble blowing stuff. Sometimes a fancy hair bobble or a bit of bling - her favourite was a cheap little ladybird locket that she still wears.

The downside is that you end up with boxes full of crap that you are absolutely not allowed to throw away. DD is nearly 11 but I'm still not allowed to bin the Hey Duggee play-doh moulds..
