School asking for proof of illness

My DD is in reception and has been so ill this year. I'm sure it's the lockdown catch up thing but it's been awful. Since September she's had:
A week off with covid
A week off with chicken pox
Three rounds of norovirus
Tonsillitis
Loads of random days of for PCR checks in the autumn term
And also as she's asthmatic she's had loads of severe viral wheeze which has required time off too. Last night we were in a&e again and I doubt she'll be well enough to go back til Friday.
The school called me today and asked for medical reports. We're seeing the GP tomorrow anyway for a review of her inhalers so I presume they will be able to provide this?
I'm so exhausted by it all and now feel like the school doesn't believe me?
All the way I've been following the rules. Eg she was basically fine in herself with both chicken pox and covid but I followed guidelines and kept her off.
Just feel really fed up today. Any advice on the documents I might need?

Wow. This would piss me right off.

The very most I’d be doing is getting a letter from the GP listing the illnesses your daughter has suffered from and confirming the school days she missed were legit, or align with her absences.

And then telling the school to put it where the sun don’t shine.

The OP’s child isn’t even of compulsory school age.

I know, but she will be when she turns 5. The poster I was responding to was talking about unauthorised absences, which do not apply to under 5s/ the OP’s DD as of yet. I felt it was important to not let bad advice for the near future go unchallenged.

Could be a safeguarding concern, they have every right to investigate. Just give them whatever evidence you have got.

And we wonder why teachers/headteachers leave the profession in droves.

Honest to god - school doesn’t care that little Jonny isn’t in much because he’s not 5, until one day he’s found dead in his bedroom and there’s an uproar. School pays attention to safeguarding and they’re being arseholes.

Literally can’t win.

OP, the school really don’t think you’re lying…but what if you were? Do they not check, in case they offend someone?

I once worked in a school where a child didn’t turn up one day. Turned out the mother had drowned her in the river. Incredibly rare, but it happens.

Every thread its "and we wonder why teachers/doctors/ etc are leaving in droves" it's not because EWO is being Unreasonable expecting sick children too attend its because they can stack shelves in fucking asda for similar wage less hours and less stress

EWO should get over themselves in a lot of cases doctors arnt there to validate if children are vomiting or not and are refusing in many cases to write notes for the school because (my doctors words) I didn't go to medical school for school bullshit (adding in if they wanted to call him he would confirm that it was bullshit) Dr's don't have the time nor the inclination to deal with minor illnesses schools need to get on with education and leave parents to clean up the puke yes if someone is taking the obvious piss deal with it but the constant we don't think your child is ill when it's clearly inconvenient for you more than anyone is ridiculous and quite frankly insulting yes I totally chose to take unpaid leave from my job risking my house for shits and giggles OR my kid is sick you decide 🤦‍♀️
