Buggy for travelling?

I’m looking for any recommendations on a lightweight buggy to take on holiday with us for my almost 2yo. We’re going to Tenerife so it will be warm so definitely needs a sunshade. I would like to be able to take it onto the cabin & store it in the overhead locker if this is possible? Last time we went they put his pram in the hold & we didn’t get it until we got to baggage claim which was a nightmare when we were stuck in passport control for an hour 🤦🏼‍♀️ Any help please?

I’ve got a babyzen yoyo which fits in the overhead locker etc. But it would be very expensive to buy just as a holiday buggy.

@SoggyPaper yeah I’ve looked at that one & it ticks all the boxes but way out my price range 😞 looking for something under £100

If you can get one second hand then the GB buggies fold up incredibly small and easily.

@Shelovespawpatrol ah I never thought of second hand. I might try my hand in some charity shops.

Joie Nitro stroller.
Bought it purely for holidays and must say it’s pretty amazing considering the price - £70

Check Facebook marketplace. A second hand one on there will be cheap. We have an Ergobaby Metro which fits in the overhead locker, cheaper than the baby zen.

There are rental companies that will hire out Yoyos for a week or two - I used Tiny Explorers when DS was a baby, but I just googled and there are loads of similar companies. Especially if you are happy with your normal buggy most of the time - I found the Yoyo was a nightmare on cobbled streets and grass and definitely wouldn’t have wanted it as my everyday buggy.

Does anyone know if Ryanair let you stow a buggy in the overhead locker? Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I’m going to look into them all, the hire one sounds good! I already have a joie buggy so as much as I like the look of the joie nitro I don’t think I want to buy one 🙈

If it fits they will. I put mine in the overhead locker.

We have a cosatto whoosh. It’s not going to win any awards (my bugaboo fox spoiled us) but it’s cheap, pushes pretty well, has a decent sunshade and folds down pretty small. It’s absolutely fine for the price, basically. I’m not sure it’d fit in the overhead locker though to be honest, especially of a smaller plane. I think even the baby zen is technically too big for Ryanair carry on allowance. You might get away with it but equally they might just make you pay at the gate.

I'd get a yoyo and resell. They sell very well second hand so overall it might only end up costing you about £50 or so.
