Moving house

We've just bought a new house and will be moving a few weeks after our son turns 2. Any tips on how to help him settle in and make the transition as easy as possible? His brother arrived 10 weeks ago and he's still not sleeping well (despite being a great sleeper prior to this).

He's gone through a lot of change recently and I'm worried the move will unsettle him more.

I've just bought a new place and will be moving in next week with my just turned 2 year old. What's really helped has been talking to him about the new house in the month or so before getting the keys, showing him pictures, and just dropping into conversation all the fun things we might do when we get there. He's now really excited to go there and it's not a shock for him. If you go back to measure up, maybe take him along so he can have a look round - you'll probably want to wait a bit before doing all this though just to make sure it's definitely going ahead. Good luck!

We moved twice when DD was little and I found the leaving packing get toys and things to the last minute helped (even the ones she barely played with) as shr got upset thinking she wouldn’t see them again.
also if possible have someone look after him for the day you move preferably overnight but at least for the day and get his bedroom sorted out as a priority. It helped for DD to come to the new home and see her familiar things set out
