Hello,

Can anyone recommend nappies for a child with eczema.

Thank you.

Probably not what you were looking for but we use re-usable nappies with cloth wipes just wet with water because it’s been much kinder on baby’s skin.

I struggle with my skin too and found it made a big difference when I changed to cloth sanitary towels.

I’d like to say the same, but actually my second was much worse in cloth than disposables. Iirc I eventually settled on Lidl with occasional pampers. You may just have to try them & see. Lidl’s seemed much softer than Aldi’s & I never tried tesco as I heard so many awful things about them.
I think Huggies wipes were best, the commercial water wipes were awful, tried one on my face once & it really stung.
but this is all several years ago now.

I use pampers pure or harmonie as they are now called. Usually boots is the only place for them

Some silly question. How do reusable nappies work? What about when they poo? What about when you’re our with the baby, what do you do with the poop nappies?

If baby is little and poo is just liquid then it goes straight into the washing machine, we’ve always done a separate rinse first and then a wash at 60.

Now baby is older and poo is solid we flick the poo into the toilet so there’s almost no poo that goes into the washing machine.

when we were out and about we used to just use nappy sacs and we’d deal with them once we got back home, when DS started nursery we bought some zip up wet bags that can hold a days worth of nappy and keep any liquids and smells contained.

there’s so many different ways of doing it though! The nappy lady website is really useful and there’s lots of other people on here using them if you do a search.

if you don’t want to try the nappies then cloth wipes might we worth a try, we always had a much bigger sore bottom reaction to disposable wipes than disposable nappies

Googlecanthelpme · 10/05/2022 22:09

I found pampers are the only ones which didn’t aggravate DC skin. Occasionally we’d try other brands and always had a reaction, obviously would have been much preferable to use a less expensive brand but hey ho.

Agree about the wipes, they tended to anger his skin too so really tried to keep them to a minimum.

Cloth nappies would probably be the best alternative, I wish I’d had more confidence to try them.

Pampers used to do a sensitive version - I think the new version is called Pampers® Harmonie
