It's chucking it down with rain here - I've spent the morning cuddled up on the sofa with DS2 (4) as he doesn't go to nursery on Friday mornings, and DS3 was sleeping. He kept looking out of the window and commenting on "the horrible, cold, wet, weather" - and I kept agreeing with him.....

But in 1hrs time I have a friend coming(who was our lovely babysitter until she b*ggered off to live in Northampton as a student) who I promised could take him to the park this afternoon to take some photos of him for her assignment which is due in on monday......

She's doing a teacher training course whatsit - not sure what the assignment is - but when she called and asked me last week if she could "use" DS2 DH and I both agreed without hesitation.....

So now I'm about to get him dressed up in his raincoat with his umbrella and wellies (ooo he can use the new ones he got for Christmas ) so she can take him - as today is the only day that she can get over.

I'm cruel aren't I? Especially as I shall use the opportunity when he's gone to watch another of last seasons ER

Are you kidding? It's a fab day for puddle jumping! Me and my mindee, put our wellies & rain gear on and just stamped in muddles! We got absolutely soaked, but we had so much fun! We're snuggled up in front of CBeebies now, having lunch and drying out!

Thing is he's a bit of a wimp when it comes to the cold/being wet (and I say that without feeling cruel as it's the ONLY thing he's a wimp about)......and I know he'll probably be a right miserable sod when he gets in all cold and wet.......but then again he may be bribed with hot chocolate?>!?!?

You need to hype him up a bit for it! Tell him he can stamp in as many puddles as possible and get really wet and splash your friend and when he comes back, you'll have lovely warm clothes ready for him, on the radiator and hot choc with sprinkles on top!

This was the easiest morning to get dd off to nursery because it was raingn and she got to use her beloved ladybird umbrella. I got pretty wet though...

well he's gone - he completely forgot about the fact that it was pouring with rain when he realised who he was going with......and that he could wear his new Shrekthethird wellies...

and as luck would have it - it stopped raining about 10 minutes after they left
