chicken pox when you've been vaccinated

Anyone had any experience of chicken pox after a child has been vaccinated?

Baby had her first dose only, a few weeks ago. Since lunchtime, she's developed some small, flat red spots. No sign of blisters, but the number has increased.

Could this be mild chicken pox, or would I be seeing blisters already? They're not itchy.

Where are the spots? Any fever etc?

@Nikki305 no fever. Spots are on her torso and neck.

Also, she has her mmr last week so the rash could be from that.

DD had chicken pox after having both vaccinations - but months after rather than hours. (She had a slight temperature when she had one of the vaccines so I suspect the vaccine may not have taken.)

It could be coincidence in your case - could it already have been incubating?

It's possible for a child (or adult for that matter) to get an illness they have been immunised for. I was the same as you - DC1 had measles despite being vaccinated. I kept looking at the rash online and tried to convince myself it couldn't be, because they were vaccinated. It was.
I'd suggest taking pictures and sending them to your GP for confirmation. Meanwhile, give paracetamol, but NOT ibuprofen. Baths with bicarbonate of soda help the itching too. Some people swear by calamine ointment. Oat baths may also be helpful too as they are soothing.
