Help! Am I over thinking?!

DS is having a birthday party next month and it's Star Wars themed as he's Star Wars mad.
His friends and cousins are coming and they are aged 5.
We've hired a character to come and surprise my DS and the children, a Storm trooper and I'm worried now that some of the other parents may find it inappropriate as a storm trooper obviously has a blaster/gun type thing to go with their costume.
I know my DS will love it and so will the other children hopefully, we've been to parties where there's been Batman, Spider-Man, Avengers turn up before but I'm just worrying that some of the other parents will think it's 'not age appropriate' 😫
What are peoples honest thoughts?
My mum says I'm over thinking and the kids will love it, and that I'm making a problem over nothing. I am an over thinker but I just don't know if it will be deemed as ok and a fun thing to do at a kids party 🎉

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Your over thinking it

I forgot to add, I was thinking about sending the other parents a message to let them know but then I'm worried that's making a big thing of it when it's maybe not an issue 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can I come OP?! Seriously the kids will be blown away, excuse the expression, and you will have massive Mum brownie points! Your DS will have a brilliant party.

I wouldn’t message the parents it will be fine.

I don't know about over-thinking it, but I do wonder if it may be scary for DC who are younger than DS or who haven't watched the film so won't understand why someone with a uniform and a gun has walked in. What else is there for the children to do if they don't want to engage wit hthe storm trooper?

I wouldn’t worry about it being inappropriate but I would give a heads up to parents as lots of kids are scared by mascots.

That's what I thought, but worried if I message it's almost bringing attention to it when it may not even be a problem 🤷🏻‍♀️
