Rough play and nose bleeds

My little one (6 years old) spends every other weekend with his dad and often comes back home with nose bleeds. The dad confirmed that they play "pretend fighting" and it can get rough. As a result, my son gets nose bleeds that last for weeks. He even gets them at school, swimming classes, etc. I repeatedly asked his dad to stop this way of playing, but he doesn't stop it. What shall I do?

Surely if he's handling your son so roughly that it's causing his nose to bleed you need to report him to social services and stop contact.

My partner and his son regularly play roughly, lots of pretend fighting, wrestling, tackling etc. Not once has he ever had a nose bleed. Has he said his dad is rough with him?

A nose bleed lasting for weeks? Either he's broken it, or has a clotting issue. I suspect you would notice a broken nose. GP. Play fighting hasn't caused this.

If he’s getting them in other situations, what makes you think it’s your ex causing them? He might just be prone to nose bleeds.

What does your son say about this? You need to see a GP about this I think.

His dad is either being quite violent - in which case report and get legal advice on stopping contact - or your son needs his nose checking.

?????? Report him if he's causing it. Hmm

He must be really hurting your son to do that but are you sure????????? My brother suffered with nose bleeds and no one was rough playing with him.

Eh? Thats not right at all! How is he play fighting but literally causing injury? That doesn't sound very fun! How have you not reported him to social services yet??

My youngest has hay fever and before we realised, she was picking/itching her nose which caused many nosebleeds. Does his dad have anything which could trigger a similar response such as a pet?
I struggle with the idea that play fighting is causing them. Dd wrestles regularly with her big brother, it's never triggered a bleed.
