DD is 2.7 and we have tried potty traing a couple of times but have had no success yet. Now the moment her nappy has the slightest bit of wee in it, she takes it off. We are starting on the pt again, but she will not sit on the potty and is very reluctant to sit on the loo. Worst of all, she will not keep her nappy on at night! Luckly no major accidents yet, but it;s only a matter of time.

DS was a dream to pt, and was dry at night from day one, but she is happy to sit in wet pants. DH is at home with them both, and is more than capable, but any suggestions would be gratefully received, particularly on the night time nappy issue.

ok...

if she has had no 'major' accodents yet without her night nappy on then maybe she does NOT actually need it?

i would.....

  1. rig up bed with amtteress protcetors / bed mats etc for when accidents happen

  2. if you really think she needs a night nappy, could you get nappy pants (my 2 year old can remove conventional nappies too ) and the a poppered vest and an all in 1 suit rather than Pjs (M&S do all in one suits age 2-3)
We also sometiems put them on back to front so that he cant get to vest to get to nappy to get nappy off!

Ah, good point, but I think she takes the nappy off once she has done a wee. But will try this stratagey. I guess we really need to start potty training in earnest. Gulp! I thought that girls were supposed to be easier than boys!! Bite that bullet Friday!, Preschool tomorrow so no point!

Thanks
