bumbles vs bamboozles - any advice?

I can't decide which looks best (LO due in March) - was quite taken with the sound of the bamboozle but 'thenappylady' has suggested bumbles. Any thoughts / experiences gratefully recieved!

I realise that bamboozles take longer to dry - but how long? The thing putting me off the bumble is the wider fit + fleece liner, are artificial fabrics any less kind to bottoms?

have you a tumble drier? you can only tumble bamboo nappies on a cool setting so they take ages, and even longer if you're hanging them on radiators etc.

The fleece liner of Bumbles, although manmade, is actually a good thing imo as wee wicks straight through to the terry so the skin stays dry, whereas all-cotton nappies hold the moisture right next to the skin.

The long wings /narrow crotch on the bamboozle mean the fit might be a bit better though, esp on a skinny baby.

bumbles will dry quicker - twice as quicker - bamboo takes an age but alot of people just buy more to compensate for this. Again i find the fleece liner a good thing as it draws the pee away from baby and keeps bottys nice and dry. I like bumbles but bimbles are nice too and a trimmer fit and bambeasy are the same fit as a bimble only made of bamboo (all made by same nappy makers)- there if that hasnt confused you then nothig wil lol . You could get a few of each and see what you prefer as variety is the spice of life and i would defo consider chucking in a pocket nappy like a bumgenius or a tiny fuzzi bunz. If you decide on the bamboozle style you could consider bambinex formerly bambineo as they seem to be trimmer to me but very similar to bamboozles and cheaper - they are bamboo also.

Oooooooh I got with easy peasy make (bumbles etc) over tots I like the shape and stretchiness.

Fleece liners are recommended - they take the wetness away.

Pretty much what NZ said:

Bumbles/bimbles are faster drying
Bambeasy are bamboo but the nice shape of bumbles
Bamboozle are longer drying, bambinex are slightly slimmer cut, but fit is normally better with them if you get the nippa version.

I prefer nippa fastening whatever because it is the most adjustable.

Bumbles are better ime. The main advantage for me is that they really do last until potty training so are cheap compared to tots bots. Also you can add a nice big hemp or bamboo pocket insert to them and voila you have a great night nappy too.

Nappyzone · 09/01/2008 21:07

bimbles also now come in a btp - i know what you mean bagpuss - loving easy peasy nappies to wham up for night nappies!
