The advice is to start weaning from 6 months. Weaning early can cause lifelong gut issues. Read through this NHS advice:

www.nhs.uk/start4life/weaning/?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=Cj0KCQjwl7qSBhD-ARIsACvV1X2zYrWPyWG7b8i60JibC8zvuALzByzy1xAQRCf7MRjO3bO9xA0vEkYaAvTmEALw_wcB

If you have a hungry baby, nothing will fill them up more than nutrient dense fatty milk. Some pureed veg will not fill them up or help them sleep better.

All the best of luck weaning in a couple of months time. Xx

If he is draining bottles you need to offer more milk. Google responsive feeding.

despite many saying that purées won't fill them up, you can start weaning at 4. there are many purées made for feeding at 4 months. whilst it may not be as filling as milk is, a lot of babies start to want "food" earlier than others, it's very common and ok to wean at 4 months. you can also offer cow&gate banana porridge advised for 4-6 months, should be filling enough as it's made from milk, and try purées where you can add some formula (or breast milk) to the mix, so they're getting their nutrients from milk!

That’s because they can be advertised from 4 months, in same way you can buy cot bumpers, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

That sounds normal OP- 6 months unless a medical professional suggests earlier eg. For conditions such as reflux
