Hello, my baby will be 7 months on 15th April. He cannot roll over from tummy to back - I am planning on putting him in own room but don’t know whether to hold off until he can incase he rolls in sleep. Any advice is welcomed.

My baby is just in his own room now at 9 months but I've gone in their too in a single bed because of being unable to roll fully. Can roll onto side but then get stuck!

They're fine to sleep on their belly's if they roll onto them.

Make sure the cots clear of blankets and toys and they'll shout if they want help.

It's fine OP. If he rolls on to his tummy in his sleep, he's old enough for this not to be a problem.

I moved my daughter into her own room when she was a month old and my son when he was a week old as I couldn't sleep with them in the same room.
They were both fine

I think my baby has slept on her tummy every night since 8/9 months, I've always been told that if they can roll onto their front to leave them. If they wake up and are stuck they'll just shout and cry for you. How's his head control? Can he lift it up when on his tummy?

My baby went in his own room from the day we brought him home from hospital. We were advised to do this by the midwife. He’s 23 now. It’s totally fascinating how advice changes as research and knowledge develops over the years. Looks like you’re getting some great advice on here.
